Refund & Cancellation Policy
This policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for paid products and services offered by Emrich Enterprises LLC (a Montana limited liability company) through AIDiveForge. As of the effective date above, the Service is free to use — but this policy is here so you know the rules if and when paid features arrive.
- The Service is currently free. There's nothing to refund.
- If we add paid features, this policy will be updated before any charge can occur.
- Future paid digital products carry a 14-day refund window unless they've been substantially used or downloaded in full.
- Subscriptions can be cancelled any time from your account; cancellations stop the next renewal, but already-paid periods aren't pro-rated.
1. Today: the Service is free
Access to AIDiveForge — the directory, comparison tools, weekly newsletter, community wiki, and public dataset — is free of charge. We don't collect payment information for the use of any of these. Affiliate commissions we earn from third-party vendor sign-ups are between us and those vendors; they don't change anything about what you owe (which is nothing).
2. Future paid features (when launched)
If and when we offer paid features — examples we may introduce include premium dataset access, downloadable buyer's guides, or a Pro tier of the directory — payment terms will be presented at checkout and this policy will be updated before any charge can occur. The clauses in §3 through §6 below describe how that future arrangement is intended to work. Any inconsistency between this policy and the checkout-specific terms is resolved in favor of the checkout-specific terms.
3. One-time digital products (planned)
For digital products purchased outright — for example, a downloadable report, dataset bundle, or buyer's guide — we offer a 14-day refund window from the date of purchase, except where one or more of the following applies:
- You have downloaded the deliverable in full.
- You have substantially used or distributed the deliverable.
- The purchase was made on a "final sale," "no refund," or similar basis disclosed at checkout.
- You request a refund after 14 days.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days of approval.
4. Subscriptions (planned)
For any subscription tier we offer:
- Cancellation is available from your account dashboard at any time. Cancelling stops your next renewal; you keep access until the end of your current paid period.
- Pro-rated refunds for partial periods are not provided unless required by applicable consumer-protection law.
- Free trials, if offered, must be cancelled before the trial ends to avoid being billed for the first paid period.
- Annual plans are not generally refundable after the first 14 days of each annual term, except where required by applicable law.
5. Chargebacks
If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at billing@aidiveforge.com first — we resolve almost everything by email within five business days. Filing a chargeback with your card issuer before contacting us, or after we've already refunded you, may result in suspension of your account and recovery of fees incurred.
6. EU, UK, and other consumer-protection rights
Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable refund or withdrawal right you have under applicable consumer-protection law — for example, the 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom. Where local law conflicts with this policy, local law prevails to the extent of the conflict.
7. How to request a refund
Email billing@aidiveforge.com with the order ID, the date of purchase, and a brief reason for the refund request. We respond to refund requests within five business days.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our products or applicable law changes. Material changes are reflected in the Effective date above. For changes affecting in-flight subscriptions, we'll provide reasonable notice by email.
