Acceptable Use Policy

This policy explains what isn't allowed on AIDiveForge. It applies to anyone who uses the Service, with or without an account. Violations may lead to content removal, account suspension or termination, and where appropriate, legal action.

The short version
  • Don't break the law. Don't post or send anything illegal.
  • Don't harass, threaten, defame, or impersonate anyone.
  • Don't scrape, mirror, or stress-test the site outside our published API and dataset.
  • Don't probe for security flaws unless you're following our Security Policy.
  • Don't post affiliate links, marketing copy, or promotional content as a user contribution.

1. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to, and won't help or permit any third party to, do any of the following:

1.1 Illegal activity

  • Use the Service in violation of any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
  • Post or transmit any content that is unlawful, including content that violates export controls, sanctions, or hate-speech laws in your jurisdiction.
  • Facilitate fraud, money laundering, tax evasion, or other financial crimes.

1.2 Harm to others

  • Post content that is defamatory, obscene, harassing, threatening, hateful, or that invades another person's privacy.
  • Incite or facilitate violence, discrimination, or self-harm.
  • Doxx, dox, or otherwise publish another person's private contact information without consent.

1.3 Impersonation and deception

  • Impersonate any person, organization, or AI-tool vendor.
  • Misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organization.
  • Submit content under a name, email, or organization that isn't yours.

1.4 Promotion and spam

  • Submit reviews, wiki edits, or other User Content that contains affiliate links, promotional codes, or marketing on behalf of any tool or third party.
  • Submit content as a user contribution while you have an undisclosed material connection to the subject (employment, paid contracting, equity, or compensation). Disclose it in the body, or don't submit.
  • Send unsolicited commercial communications using the Service.

1.5 Technical abuse

  • Upload or transmit viruses, worms, malware, or any code designed to disrupt the Service or any connected network.
  • Interfere with the Service or create an undue burden — launching denial-of-service attacks, attempting to circumvent rate limits, or running brute-force or credential-stuffing campaigns.
  • Probe, scan, or test the Service's vulnerability, or breach or circumvent any authentication, security, or access-control measure, except as expressly permitted by our Security & Vulnerability Disclosure Policy.

1.6 Scraping and mirroring

  • Scrape, harvest, or otherwise extract data from the Service except through the publicly documented dataset and API endpoints, and only in accordance with their published licenses and rate limits.
  • Frame, mirror, embed, or otherwise re-host material portions of the Service on another website or app without our prior written consent.
  • Use AI training pipelines on Service content other than via the JSON Feed, the llms-full.txt machine-readable index, the public MIT-licensed dataset, or the documented per-category API — all of which are explicitly intended for that purpose.

1.7 Account misuse

  • Register more than one account in order to evade moderation, ratings caps, or rate limits.
  • Share your account credentials, or transfer your account, without our consent.
  • Manipulate community signals — review brigading, benchmark manipulation, or coordinated wiki vandalism.

2. Enforcement

We may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice:

  • Remove or unpublish User Content.
  • Suspend or terminate accounts.
  • Restrict access to all or part of the Service.
  • Refer matters to law-enforcement authorities or affected third parties.
  • Cooperate with legal process (subpoenas, court orders, government requests) as required by law.

Where we judge a violation to be inadvertent or minor, we typically warn first and remove or restore content rather than terminate. Where a violation is willful, repeated, or harmful, we suspend or terminate without warning.

3. Appeals

If you believe enforcement action against your content or account was taken in error, email legal@aidiveforge.com with the URL, the action taken, and a brief explanation of why it was mistaken. We aim to respond within five business days.

4. Reporting abuse

To report content that appears to violate this policy, email abuse@aidiveforge.com with the URL and a brief description. For copyright-specific takedowns, use the DMCA / Copyright Policy instead.

5. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices, the Service, or applicable law changes. Material changes are reflected in the Effective date above.
